Pompeii 2014
Terrible movie and the lack of accuracy for the purpose of dramatisation I found disrespectful to the event and the people. Despite some visually cool scenes and a good soundtrack, this was overshadowed by the crap acting and huge attempt to try and be a Hollywood blockbuster.

“This great evil. Where’s it come from?”
This movie’s a piece of philosophy with an intermission of war. The representation of two worlds, the prevalent theme of nature and the inner monologue of the various characters deviates it from the classic hollywood take of a war film and creates a work of art. It shows mans control over nature aswell as man’s destructive nature, that in war there are no winners and no such thing as glory.There’s a thin red line between the sane and the mad. The line remains.
