  Ok the last time I saw this movie was YEARS ago but I have been listening to the musical in between that time. I’ve been in an old movie mood recently and this was number 2 on my list (Pocahontas was number 1). The story of the Romanovs has always been so fascinating to me and I actually watched a mini docuseries on netflix with my parents recently called “The Last Czar” and it was really good. The storyline of this movie is definitely different from what actually occurred but i still love it a lot! Anastasia and Dmitri’s love story is so good!

  this was one of my fav movies growing up. Yes i know the actual story of pocahontas was not sunshine and rainbows but this version of the story I find so beautiful and filled with so much emotion. I almost cried twice at the way the love is portrayed in this movie. “I’d rather die tomorrow, than live a hundred years without knowing you.” LIKE COME ON, THAT IS SO BEAUTIFUL
