Most fcked up, sad, gruesome, and evil film I’ve ever watched. No other movie has me in such fear and dread for the next seconds to come. And for every wish I had that someone could escape or for the misery to end, it was beaten down leaving nothing redeemed. Truly just shocking, unrelenting horror.
The acting was… unspeakable. Probably everyone’s best role in any movie. I do think Choi’s role here was even crazier than in Oldboy.

The Ghost Writer 2010
This movie evokes a certain atmosphere and feeling that I often am unable to sense in modern large feature films, and that I only find in older films. Perhaps it was the nuanced dialogue and acting, as artfully directed by Polanski, as well as camera work and editing that had that classic noir element. It is brilliantly executed and flows in its thrilling nature, although there is minimal actual violence on screen. While the narrative has a few lapses, it is made up in amazing acts from the cast, with the two supporting females Olivia Williams and Kim Cattrall standing out.
