It’s really too bad I didn’t get the “she’s suffered sexual abuse and it’s consuming her” when I was watching it…like she was really in need of help and no one gave it to her.
rather the impression I was left with was “we’re justified with how poorly we treat women because look what their sins bring upon us, literally the plague” it is like a puritan’s wet dream.
