I noticed the differences between how images burned. The rate, the quality, everything. I almost payed attention to the burning more than anything else in the film like the narration or the image itself. Slow burn for sure, no pun. Good to have watched but I wouldn’t watch again if I had 45 minutes to spare.
I’m kind of sick of seeing blatant misogyny in these movies. It just feels like time to move on from that kind of story telling, it’s a lazy way to talk about complex identities. Watched this on 35mm which was pretty but the whole movie bummed me out. Wouldn’t see again.
