The Brutalist 2024
From the score, to the cinematography (and that excellent use of VistaVision to shoot the film. This film is stunningly, well … perfect. The story is told in such a unique and gripping way that you forget about the length of the film. The acting performances deserve all the accolades and awards that it will and already has received. It was an anxiety-inducing masterpiece, that really made you feel that you were living every moment of the story in real time. I do not have much more to say, I had high expectations and they were still blown out of the water.

I heard somebody say they enjoyed the film but they could tell it was directed by a man. At the time I thought that was a shallow comment… but after watching it, I sort of understand that now, but I’m not sure that this is a bad thing.
