Loved the sets and costumes. Especially the nightgowns! And the peasant boots. And I wanted that coat!

Things I didn't like:
Coulda had some levitation instead of tippytoes in the opening scene in front of the window, though I liked the evil shadow on the curtain
The stupid mandolin player not even moving his fingers, and the top string flopping away so lamely
Too many rats hahaha
The stupid faces she makes during her fits, and the convulsing, yecchh

With my morbid fear of getting cancer again, and my lack of friends, this movie weighs heavily. Must be nice to afford a house in the woods in which to die. I think I'd rather die at home!

I could never ask anyone to assist in a suicide, no matter how many letters to the police I left behind.

Anyway, pretty depressing movie and the daughter being played by the great Tilda herself didn't work for me. I think Timothee Chalamet would have pulled that one off!

Oh, Paul Newman, how you lure me into watching films I never would have seen if not for you.
