progressing through the claustrophobic catacombs is easily this films selling point compared to the other elements such as the writing of the characters and the plot. i also think that they didnt take advantage of the setting and the background they've built up, particularly in the third act, resulting into cheap shock factor and jumpscares. they try to incorporate other aspects to the film such as each character's personal trauma but i feel like they werent well executed due to the lack of investment you'd get from these characters.
