  Alien: Romulus 2024

  Easily my second favorite Alien movie behind the original, brings the horror back and leans heavily into Facehugger horror which I really enjoy. Facehuggers to me have always been the scariest creatures in the Alien mythos, even more than the Xenomorphs themselves to me. But when the Xenomorph actually does show up it’s amazing and easily feels like the more intimidating versions of them from Ridley Scott’s original 1979 classic, rather than the Grunt feel they took on in Aliens and some of the sequels.

  Extremely good and surprisingly holds up damn near a century later. 

  What makes this movie extremely creepy is that it’s shot and acted like a silent film, often without music in some scenes. It heightens the horror and the Dracula attacks
