A real return to form after Garland’s interesting but rather disappointing “Men” (2022). There’s a lot of ways a movie with this premise could be made and shot - but Garland takes what could have been just another mediocre action flick and goes and makes a really poignant and powerful film about the impact of journalism and the ethics surrounding that profession - thrown into a world that captivates and pulls you in right from the jump.
