A Real Pain 2024
Just keep giving me more Kieren Culkin, I don’t care what he is in I just live his no filter, freak ass energy.
While the plot lacked a bit of depth, I really enjoyed the dialogue and the complicated relationship between the two cousins.
This reminds me of the 2005 film Everything Is Illuminated. One of my other favorites from the “Let’s go see where our Holocaust-surviving grandparents came from” genre.

She didn’t find love in a hopeless place :(
Mikey Madison is going to need a scoliosis screening after carrying this film on her back for 2 hours and change.
She had so much range and really brought her character to life; Emotional, enchanting, hilarious.
The first act dragged a little bit with the partying montage and the “honeymoon phase,” but it’s made up for by Madison’s performance.
Ivan’s character felt a little shallow and one-dimensional. Spoiled rich kid likes…
