They are lucky Africa is so beautiful that I was ok with watching even when it was not great
I do feel like the problematic parts go beyond just being made in the year it was. The movie makes light of some really dark stuff and hardly made me laugh. Not to mention the use of the word “civilized”. I think if I could cut all the slapstick and forced romance my review would be a lot higher.
Nǃxau ǂToma was of course the highlight of the film and I thought the ending was very cathartic. Wish he had more screen time.
