"oh it's you at the holocaust museum, you both look so... Happy"
This film was somehow excruciatingly painful, claustrophobic, touching and funny
I’ve been thinking about this review for a while. Before diving into the actual movie, I think it’s worth sharing a bit about myself:
1. My partner is a refugee who, after leaving her home country, went from being a university lecturer and teacher to working as a waitress and an entry level office employee.
2. I really enjoyed Babylon – I love long films, I enjoy long albums, I appreciate expansive media.
3. While perhaps less important, I’m also…
A movie that tells it's story through visuals more than the actors. Thematically rich but structurally lacking.
