For the 25th anniversary I went with my partner to see this again and, for the most part, it holds up.
It’s a short run time by today’s standard, it’s got a great cast and the story has good pace. The CG doesn’t hold up but this was 25 years ago and in all honesty it’s only fluid animations like the water, the soul’s and fire that look a bit janky.

For a movie that pokes fun at Marvel and Disney, it certainly feels like it’s gotten the Marvel and Disney treatment.
I don’t believe D&W pales in comparison the first movie, or even the second. The anti-hero who’s meant to be violent and vulgar felt watered down, and I suspected this would be the case when I saw the 15 rating prior to the screening.
Overall it’s just “good”. I had no favourite moment as the repetition of Deadpool talks, Wolverine tells him to shut up, fight, repeat made it all a bit samey.
