The Electric State 2025
When I heard this was becoming a movie I was excited because the book is a masterpiece, both visually and in its storytelling. The more I heard the more hyped I got and then I saw it was out. And I watched it. Genuinely I had hope for the first half an hour. I hate how it became a save the world narrative, I hate how it was so technically impressive yet so soulless. Genuine proper disappointment. It’s not awful, it’s at least entertaining but the pacing is bad, the writing is often cringeworthy and honestly I was just left feeling a bit annoyed.
