The Whale 2022
Utterly heartbreaking, captures a sense of raw humanity. My main criticism is that the characters seemed to have very underdeveloped story arcs. That being said the chemistry and relationships between characters felt natural and definitely worked. The performances did not disappoint , definitely Oscar deserving in my opinion. I think i would prefer the stage version if i were to see it.

Felt a bit 2 dimensional needed more dynamic from other characters, cinematography just melted my heart a truly amazing job, story left a lot to audience interpretation but i feel like it worked even if the story wasnt the most coherent, to say the performance from Olivia Coleman was breathtaking would be an understatement she nailed the role so beautifully, and it was great to see Michael ward deliver another powerful performance. Colin firth was just made for the film and wonderfully directed.
