  The Usual Suspects 1995

  Such a great movie. I always knew about it one way or another ever since I was young. Whether it was a reference to that iconic line up scene. Or just the title in general… now seeing it in full for the first time, it’s amazing. Stephen Baldwin and Kevin Spacey were phenomenal in this. The cinematography & the editing was mesmerizing and spectacular. Good story, but the flow of it could’ve been better, for sure. There are a few moments…

  One of the greatest movies of all time for sure.

  Great cast… Billy Baldwin, Kurt Russell, Robert DeNiro, Donald Sutherland, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Scott Glenn… everyone was amazing. A star studded ensemble cast, no one else could’ve done it. Each and every person in this movie, the role they played was for them, it couldn’t be anyone else.
  Alec couldn’t have been Brian McCaffrey, only Billy could’ve done that. Billy was born to play Brian.

  Platoon 1986

  One of the greatest movies of all time. 
  The greatest War movie of all time. 

  I haven’t seen many War movies. The only ones I’ve seen are Glory (1989) and Brothers (2009). I haven’t seen Apocalypse Now (1979) though I’m sure it’s good, since most people who finish watching it have mostly good things to say; it still doesn’t beat Platoon. 
  When you have a director like Oliver Stone, who is also the writer of the movie, where it’s based on his experience as a Vietnam Veteran, and you’re filming on a low budget, which means on location too. It doesn’t get more realistic than that.
