I still don’t know how I feel about depictions of violent genocide like this in films. I can never quite tell when it feels necessary and when it’s making a spectacle out of something. While I don’t think we should shy away from showing these events at all, I think the nature of reenacting them at all is a difficult task to do in a way that feels humane.
