Eyes Wide Shut 1999
Holy shit why are there never any reviews of the actual film when Kubrick is behind the camera. All these reviews are so horny for the man (don’t get me wrong, I don’t dislike Kubrick).
Is this a film about challenged masculinity? Power and it’s corruption of sexual desire? A lecture on monogamy? I don’t know, and I don’t feel compelled to think too hard about it.
The average male cinephile loves this one because it’s the closest they’ll come to fucking Kubrick himself.
