Avatar: The Way of Water 2022
Proof that visual effects alone sometimes are enough to make a film great. Almost every shot is utterly striking and often beautiful. I liked the spirituality and the importance of our connection with a world’s beauty and nature!
However, the script is diabolical throughout. The films favourite lines: ‘Sully’s stick together’ and ‘A father protects it’s what gives him meaning’ made the film feel like it was made 10 years before the original not 10 years after. With that big of a budget could they not afford a half decent screenwriter? Yet it was cinematic experience I’ll never forget and the 3D added that extra magic
