The Substance 2024
Well, this is a hard one to write about. I felt this is a very unbalanced movie. Satirical, and yet some caricature was too shallow. The script is focused and yet it stumbles. Mise-en-scene is brilliant any yet too obvious at times (oh, some close-ups...), the end is grotesque by tone, not by gore. References are fine, but I think Fargeat overuse them.
