You could play spot-the-influence 'til you're blue in the face, but more than anything, Coralie Faraget's audacious (and, I'd assert, flat-out great) sophomore effort feels most like the stylish, brilliantly-absurdist, distaff answer to John Frankenheimer's Seconds.

An ambling, easygoing contact high of a movie, with some of Tarantino’s best, most fully-realized characterizations—none more so than the two middle-aged, real-feeling adults navigating a sorta-romance at its center. On the right night, it looks a lot like QT’s best movie by a long shot.
