    Unexciting grind on yet another dobbelganger attempt went bad. But Pattinson did indeed pull off a great performance. Ruffalo’s character felt bloated as just another evil aristocrat. The fuzzy monsters were taking too much space. And the world-building was uninspiring. The awesome premise about a hired expendable could have been executed so much more elegantly.

    I’m glad to see that the reviews seem to be splitting the waters. That’s exactly what this film is for. To start a conversation among us Humans. 

    I was intrigued by Halina Reijn’s Instinct even though it didn’t get enough attention and it had its flaws. But this time she brought in the big guns in performances of their lifetimes. And it almost feels like a more mass-friendly remake.

    I have never experienced acting intensity at such a profound level before. And the dialogue had a kind of rhythm to it that made it feel almost supernatural.

    Both Jack Lemmon and Al Pacino (who got nominated) should have won Oscars for their performances. And David Mamet (writer) should too. Pulling that off with a premise of following a small group of real estate salesman in such a simple story just blows my mind.
