Religious lore mixed with internal politics.
The cinematography is perfect. The ending a little bit agenda 2030 but unexpected.
Good soup.
The first act is pure cinema. Reminiscent of 70s/80s/90s cinema. With incredible shots, very well filmed close-ups and a spectacular soundtrack.
A 15 minute pause that lets you take a piss and think about what you have just seen.
A second act that you stay watching for the remaining hour and a half saying WTF?!. With a last scene by Felicity Jones (who has few appearances) that is excellent.
And an epilogue that basically explains everything you experienced in those three hours and forty minutes.

Cuando sabes narrar una historia, haces una película como esta. Desde el principio, MS te da la bienvenida al mundo en el que te sitúa. Diferentes escalas sociales, los indigenas, el período en el que está, etc.
Una película que es completamente deprimente, triste, oscura. Con una escena en el medio donde te da un poco de esperanza, para volver a caer en la misma narrativa depresiva de lo que se quiere mostrar.
El final es la frutilla del postre.…
