  Longer review will be coming soon because this one has made me want to actually write something considered. Overall, had a great time. 

  Robert Pattinson is in god mode, and Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette are perfectly cast as members of our fascist dork ruling class. 

  Naomi Ackie was new to me (wanted to see Blink Twice but never got around to it), but was also a standout in a pretty stacked cast.

  Sing Sing 2023

  Movies are back. 

  I always hesitate with prison movies because there are several tropes that Hollywood seems unable to avoid that I think are tired and really problematic. 

  I was delighted that this was not the case with Sing Sing. This was a beautiful, moving film that humanized and empathized with incarcerated individuals in ways I’ve rarely seen.

  Finally finishing catching up on all the best picture nominees, and starting with Conclave:

  This one was pretty good and fun and I’ll enjoy participating in Conclave Discourse™️, but this movie getting best picture shouts is kind of wild to me.
