    Good grief, it's you... again!

Sixteen years after A Matter of Loaf and Death, Vengeance Most Fowl marks the welcome return of Wallace and Gromit... and Feathers McGraw!
Norbot is a fantastic addition! His little comments and songs are hilarious - I'm sure I'll pick up on more funny lines from him with each viewing.

As always, looking out for the visual gags in business names, street signs, posters, newspaper headlines and - with this outing - character names, is…

One of my favourite films - I'm so happy to have finally seen The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp on the big screen!
I noticed with this viewing how comedic the film is. Particularly scenes of the build up to the duel, which prompted huge laughs from the, what must have been, sold out audience.
Little did Powell & Pressburger - or anyone, for that matter - know how Murdoch joining the Home Guard would later become a joke in…

Had to take the opportunity to watch this beautifully remastered version of I Know Where I'm Going! again before it leaves iPlayer. I was not disappointed - an already wonderful film, made ever more stunning through this high quality restoration.

In other news - I'm a big fan of a good wool jumper. If anyone knows where I can get my hands on Torquil's white/cream roll neck, I would be extremely grateful, haha!

Not sure why, but I just couldn't quite get into this one...

The 'Competition Dance' number was the highlight for me. Bob Fosse and Tommy Rall are both fantastic dancers: Fosse for his style, Rall for his precision, and both for their technique.

I would love to see a return of Technicolor to the motion picture industry. There is a sharpness and clarity too it that you just don't get from digital cameras.

The Adventures of Robin Hood is a perfect example of this. For a film released in 1938, the vividness of Technicolor makes the film look as spectacular today as it did on the day of its release.

As time moves on, and things change, all the elements which add up…

    ★★★½

Clearly inspired by, and with nods to previous science-fiction films and directors - principally Spielberg's Jaws and War of the Worlds - Nope remains a fresh and original sci-fi/horror/thriller, with some thoroughly interesting ideas presented. Plus, the special effects are phenomenal!

The only part of the narrative that I am still unsure of is that involving the monkey.
While, I think, I understand the intention and importance to this part of the story, I was not fully convinced by it's…
