  Oof. 

  Truly stunning pictures and probably one of my favorites in terms of Matty’s work. Some of the scenes early in the film in black and white really felt like some of the big studio films of that era. 

  But, as a whole, I am still not sure what this movie is trying to say. I wasn’t sure what it was trying to say about art, about marriage or about Leonard Bernstein the composer himself. 

  Maybe a little too Oscar bait-y?
