The Secret World of Arrietty 2010
No notes about this movie, really. It was a lot of fun, very imaginative, and cute. It has a lot of Tinker Bell vibes with how the little people interact and weave their "borrowed" items into the culture.
Only thing I would knock it for is that the tone of certain scenes didn't really fit what actually happened. There was a lot of tension when they were going on the hunt - or whatever they called ot - but absolutely no conflict happened. Not saying there needed to be conflict, but the vibe didn't match that at all.
Enjoyable while sober, an absolute blast while high

Watchmen 2009
It definitely looks like Watchmen. Doesn't feel anything like it though. Synder took a book who's central thesis was that overglorification of violence and vigilantism is bad, and made a movie that is overly brutal and paints them all as the good guys.
You can have a good movie while being a bad adaptation but, in my opinion, Watchmen is an exception. Ozymandius is given no time to develop. Comedian's symbology falls flat. Nite Owl is too hot. Silk Spectre…
