This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Despite it's attempts to increase the scope of this world and story Wicked Part 1 comes off feeling smaller then the stage play. When everything is huge and grand CGI then nothing is, by the time we get to the Emerald City the environments have blended together making the entrance that is so grand and spectacular in the stage play just feel like another musical number.
