Perfectly situated in time in both the diegesis of the film and in life - this wouldn’t be correct if it had been released or “set” in any year but 1999
Obsessed with the concept and blown away by the campy yet believable execution. I fear this is a type of film that would go unappreciated in today’s Hollywood, further enshrining it in its turn of the millennium glory
