Mickey 17 2025
Pretty funny, but a little blunt even for Bong Joon Ho. It was interesting to learn that in the book he was Mickey 7. I think the jump up in deaths really represents the approach taken for the movie. Ultimately not the most deft work, but some interesting questions are raised for you to noodle on if you are so inclined. It is a little disappointing those questions were kinda crowded out by the more overt message.

Very much enjoyed all the triptychs. Hear people didn't get the movie is a little strange to me given how over the top most of the imagery is. Very refreshing to see a modern movie with the feel of the 60's and 70's in a lot of ways. Was a surprisingly large amount of Shakespeare here, from bones to outright quotes. Very interesting and I look forward to more rewatches!
