Seven Seas of Despair
Sandalwood makes a handful of good movies in a (good) year and this is one of them. Nevertheless I could notice a little of their incompetence in the beginning (bad sound mixing, poor dialogue).
The rest of the movie is marvelous. All technical aspects were admirable—cinematography, music, writing. The last part was truly a surprise.

The first half of the movie was uncomfortable to watch and makes one wonder if the SA angle was really necessary. Halfway through the second half, it becomes clear that the crux of movie is that men are horrible people and it is excellently driven home by showing how they react when someone reports SA.

BRILLIANT MOVIE
...if it had come out in the 90s. It doesn’t feel good to see Prakash Raj in the arrogant patriarch role anymore. The whole movie is just him being an asshole and then getting hurt when people point it out. And the message in the end is “take care of your elders”? What a gigantic waste of talent.
From Being Earnest, to being earnest
I set out to watch this film thinking I'll definitely hate it. What caught me by surprise is the way the father-daughter relationship is shown. My eyes welled up by the end of the first song. It was the earnestness of the relationship that almost had me envying that child.
