Do you ever begin watching a film, already having certain expectations of it, only to realize after having watched a significant portion of the film, that it was somewhat fundamentally different from your expectations?

It's such a pure, nostalgic distillation of one's passion that you can't help but cheer for young Stevey to achieve his dreams. The portrayal of his parents in the film must be so uncomfortable and therapeutic. It's all incredibly well done; Spielberg and John Williams are both utmost masters of their crafts, as was James Lipton. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZspOEa1CP4A
