Not terribly engaged with this flick from the get-go, but I kept with it and the going improved. Generally well-defined characters demanding empathy in the face of a seemingly terrible --and often comedic-- set of circumstances. Overall not my jam but it was fine filmmaking and surprising at moments.

Fantastic film with Fasbender at his absolute best. Key Soderbergh moments in photography and pacing, but mostly just an amazing cast, engrossing narrative and fantastic plot point pacing. Great watch and supremely efficient storytelling.

Compelling in every way. Lumet’s non-linear narrative brings an entirely new level of storytelling to vivid life, adding a profound depth to the tragedy unfolding in front of us. The cast and performances are stellar across the board. There’s little more to say other than just watch this film.

Alright, I’ll admit that I was a little skeptical, expecting a ‘de niro’ performance. I was pleasantly surprised that he really brought out the struggle of the character. Some sections of the film dragged a wee bit, but de niro and grodin make this extremely enjoyable. The secondary characters are excellent, as well, but I think groden really understood the assignment. The scene in the bar, where grodin impersonates a federal agent inspecting counterfeit bills, is grodin at the top of his game. Fantastic.
