Simone Biles is so incredible she transcends the Netflix house style sports documentary treatment. Until they decide to end it with Simone giving us a tour of her unfinished mansion. That’s what the filmmakers decide to leave us with? Look at how rich she is? Despite nothing indicating a financial motivation for Simone’s “rising.” This isn’t the kind of doc that should end on a silly note. It undercuts the emotional payoff of the climax, which you’ve been building to for 4 episodes.

Wow Ariana is such a little comedian. It’s comedic timing and she had me in stitches. She’s a true heiress to Kristin Chenoweth.
My main gripe is they stop the songs like 4-5 times sometimes, which I can’t imagine they do in the stage show. I think you get to stop the song once per song, but that’s just me.
My second gripe is that it’s way too bright most of the time, which I knew from the trailer. But I can see that was an artistic choice, just one I don’t really agree with. Sue me!
