  12 Angry Men 1957

  ★★★★ Rewatched 14 Mar 2025

  A classic from a book your English teacher probably had you read. The undertones are necessarily apparent. There’s a lot to appreciate but I’d like to highlight that although the jurors leaned a certain way for whatever reason, they held their minds open enough to consider the other side. Sadly that’s done less and less now.

  Something about the way Joon-Ho was able to maneuver specific mannerisms for the actors in every scene was so smooth. I liked the use of names despite the large communities. Felt like an intimate environment that in reality would be cold and harsh. Hard to say if you’ll love it as much as me but I can’t see myself not going back to the theater this week.
