There were moments that I felt strung along by the series of murder mystery gimmicks. That feeling was totally excused by both the soundtrack and the cinematography as well as by how purely entertaining it was. Nothing revolutionary about the politics-it is a movie about the Catholic Church. That last twist though!! Just know there’s something good to wait for.

The Room Next Door 2024
Made letterboxd today because it's Jan 1 and I watched this awful movie. I told the attendant at the theater that I got tickets for the room instead of the room next door, and then I watched a movie with Tommy Wiseau-ass writing for the next hour and a half. Another turn-to-your-friend-and-stare-in-disbelief moment every five minutes. My favorites were when Julianne Moore at a grape the size of my nose while saying her lines and another guy threw in commentary about "neo-liberalism and the rise of the far right" post-pandemic out of nowhere at a rich person restaurant.
