Micah is terrifying. I excuse whatever entity out there of all of this because of him.
I've only seen THIS one, the classic one. So far my theory (that could be debunked by any random person's theory or the sequels) is that it's... well, paranormal activity, it's something created by the living, human people.
When Katie was a child, all of this used to happen, and she wasn't alone, she used to sleep with her sister. Maybe her sister and Katie had strange incompatibilities same as Katie and her husband enough to make this force to manifest.
