  Not much dialogue, very little action, not much tension either. Yet it held my attention and looked pretty nice. Mads did well with little.

  I slept through a lot of this film so might revisit it at some point. I think I liked it. I certainly enjoyed my sleep. The cast includes Tunde Adebimpe from TV on the Radio so that was nice. Also, one of the actors, Bob Stephenson, is somehow not the same guy that played Jacques Renault in Twin Peaks, but did play Frank in The Return. Maybe they don’t actually look that similar.

  This film was sold to me as being like Primer. It isn’t like Primer. It’s closer to a no budget Shutter Island.

  CONTAINS SPOILERS - 💩💩💩

  The mixups happen again with the working class Macclesfield family and the British aristocratic family. The working class family are so poor they can only afford a 1500 euro family ski trip to Austria. They should stop being so poor. Idiots.

  The aristocratic family have to spend a night in a shed because the Schaffberg and Bergschaff hotels have similar names but one is a shed and the other is a 5 star Alpine resort. Luckily…

  Campfire Tales 1997

  Reasonably well done horror anthology with a fairly believable set up and unexpected ending. The licking story was kind of horrible and all of them were enjoyable and one was genuinely scary. It was played for b-movie horror thrills and I’m fine with that. 

  The paedo story was a bit too paedo-y and it made me uncomfortable. I don’t think they’d do that now. And they shouldn’t.

  Don’t drink and drive.
