  Aesthetically beautiful, visually contemporary Hollywood, narratively adequate, philosophically tired.

  Another film that works for me on paper, but not in the execution.   I haven't seen a film in a long time that's made me simply go "Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. Fuck no. Nope. No. God no." in such a long time. This was chilling. I rarely ever say anything while watching films (never in public out of courtesy; I'm not a monster) but this film had me constantly swearing under my breath in tension.
