This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Moana 2 does that annoying animated sequel thing where they pointlessly introduce a bunch of new characters without any thought as to how they'll develop them within the same runtime as the predecessor. Much of the film's run winds up being spent on these new fucks, but because they still gotta tell the main character's story, not enough time gets spent on their development. This results in them being little more than an irritating deviation.

Terrible music set to boring settings with bland Teflon coated character designs. I don't give a shit how impressive the rigging on the water is; the visuals lack personality. I'm so fucking annoyed with these animated features that put more focus on tech than artistry.
On the plus side, it's nice to see an animated film based on Polynesian mythology. It's just too bad that the film is so goddamn trite.
