  honestly a really enjoyable murder mystery essque thriller, man hunt movie. i liked the pace, contrary to others opinions. the slowness just really put me in it. these characters live seemingly slow lives, and when the flashback sequence shows. god. brutal. i didn’t love the exploitation of rape in the sequence, but it was graphic and raw and uncomfortable which is how it’s supposed to feel watching it. this is what girls go through, and she ran six miles in the snow barefoot. 

  tldr; a tragically beautiful piece on loss, loneliness, grief and violent crimes (especially against indigenous & minority communities).

  i cried more than i laughed considering this is supposed to be a “comedy” special, that being said every single song from this special both incredibly slaps and is entirely too relatable.
