It's very subtle, almost fringing on mumblecore, and I don't expect everyone to like it. It's almost like Jonathan Glazer created a set, built a specific atmosphere for the concentration camp whereabouts, put up a few cameras, and observed what was happening. It's staged like a voyeuristic documentary. Not a drop of blood, yet the heart bleeds at the Nazi atrocities. The approach is very sentient. So, I won't blame anyone for not liking it or calling it boring. It's slow to begin with but draws you in after a while. I still feel haunted by it. Easily one of my top 2023 films.

Aattam 2023
Attam is one of the best movies to come out of India last year. What's surprising is that it's written and directed by a male. It so aptly unearths the complexities of he-said-she-said scenarios in #MeToo matters.

Nocturnal Animals 2016
I just watched Nocturnal Animals, and I'm blown away. The film kept me on the edge of my seat, terrorized throughout its runtime. The storytelling and screenplay are brilliant, crafting a narrative that ingeniously explores the agony of separation.

Drive My Car 2021
When the movie started, I didn't feel much of it for about an hour. Slice-of-life things - while the story and the characters seemed largely pixelated - and the pace was too slow for my liking. However, it gradually turns and drives its way into why the former was necessary, and the pixels start gaining clarity.
It's hard to forget what a movie like that makes you feel because somewhere in the deep corner of your heart, it reaches an…
