  For a doco on a subject I'm really interested in it did incredibly little for me. There was a total lack of critical engagement with anything! Even concepts like common land weren't really interrogated. No mention of the land rights movement that existed in the UK long before the 1990s. I was disappointed.

  Watched this in a special screening at the NFSA last night which included a QnA with Bob at the end. The film utilises Bob and Robin's ethnographic style, which I love. The film was high drama. There were press leaks. There were splits. There was ruthless attempts to win votes. Double crossing and back stabbing. It both encapsulates 1990s Australia and holds up as reflection on the fundamental ways in which politics operates to this day. There are also great moments of comedy that keep it feeling fresh throughout.
