A Real Pain 2024

I thought this was brokeback mountain. Disappointed when I realized it wasn’t but intrigued enough to finish watching.
First of all, really liked how it followed semi-estranged cousins who had a deep bond at their core that had been tainted over recent years. The love was there but so was the resent, so it felt really interesting watching characters feel real in that way.

What if instead of Gerald’s Game it was called Gerald’s 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴 and the female lead had to confront trauma and fears all bc she got too 𝓕𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝔂. Oh wait.

I liked the monkeys at the beginning. It was like Barbie movie. (I watched this on the plane and when it played the scary music I was unnerved but had to be nonchalant ab it so the person sitting next to me would think I was being brave)
