    Phenomenal. People always say that a film that makes you feel the same feelings the characters do in a deep and visceral manner is one that deserves praise. This film is a rollercoaster of emotions, presented on the backdrop of early 2000s Fremont, each of which I felt in my SOUL. So many relatable parts. I smiled and I cried.

    What an incredible film. The horrors are portrayed so subtly but leave you feeling sick. So many terrible acts that the audience never explicitly sees but is constantly in the presence of. One of the best anti war films I’ve ever seen. Will definitely be checking out Under The Skin.

It wasn’t until like 75% of the way through that I realized the filmmakers goal isn’t necessarily to have you empathize with the father, but rather, understand why he is the way he is.     I have nothing substantial to add in terms of critical analysis. What a film. The famous wind scene was even cooler knowing that there was a Soviet helicopter barely out of frame producing that effect on the grass.  Also, loved the Eurydice reference in one of the final poems.
