    Greta Gerwig rewatch in preparation for Barbie.

    Had only seen this one once, in theater on its release. Watching it again now it's easily one of my favorite coming of age stories. Clever, emotional, and beautifully written, Lady Bird is such an accurate portrayal of the thoughts and feelings I experienced at 18. Happy to have had the motivation for a rewatch.

However fast, it certainly couldn't come close to Kirsten Dunst in Melancholia. She lets the Imp of the Perverse take full control for ~30 minutes of messy chaos that can only be described as impressive. Relatable nihilism
