Upon a second watch I have a few thoughts maybe worth spelling out. This movie seems to have no goals. I did not leave saddened by the atrocities portrayed. I did not feel like the characters - of which nearly every speaking character is Nazi - developed or performed at all. This film feels like a directors wank, using audio trauma, anecdote, and conjecture to push along a vacant story. There is no glimpse of the survivors here, the victims.…

A film that weaves the undying human spirit, our reasons for needing art, and a reminder that the creative rumblings within us cannot be contained by social status or poverty.
Subversive and entirely bewildering. It is impossible to guess what is real and what is not in this film. I feel touched.
