  I think I need to rewatch and study this before I could give a fair rating. Because on one hand, it was visually and aesthetically pretty immaculate. I enjoyed the the dialogue, acting, and general story. However, I think there was a symbolic or meta narrative in there that I was not connecting with on first viewing (probably a bad movie to crochet to). Like the mythological dimension to it is something I’d need to chew on more, didn’t know…

  I cannot even fathom the continued legal time spent looking for Santa Claus. Like after the end of the movie. Is he not a public concern? He committed a custody kidnapping!

  Christoph Waltz has no business being that good at being evil, and yet here he is being one of the best villains I think I’ve ever seen. He showed up on screen and I got chills. That evil. So good. 

  Though Christoph was 100% my favorite part, it’s a really good movie, too. It oozes Tarantino which for some is a plus, some it’s a minus, and I’m somewhere in the middle.
