Speed Racer 2008
Incredible family movie. A bit manic and hard to follow exposition but the rising action to climax to denouement hit perfect beats. If I would have know I would’ve forced both of my younger siblings to watch it with me when it was first released. Beautiful family moments. Really heartfelt and sincere.

What is there to be said. Perfect film with a slightly bloated ending. Long but so worth it. Shout outs to fucking sick battle speeches and even better battles. Hard to do better and I will watch the trilogy at least once a year every year until I die.

Incredible depiction of religious fervor, the plague and monastic life in Renaissance Italy. Cool concepts. I'll always love a decent time travel movie. I really have a hard time excusing all of the terrible made up slang like gat and hearing jgl saying gat, or really anything at all. Beautiful montage, sharp editing. Far from perfect but a fun watch for sure. Big shout outs to the temporal torture of Paul Dano and the general coverage of action scenes.
